Coach Vitale began his coaching career in 2003 at Waterford Kettering High School in Michigan, as the wide receivers coach on the freshmen level before becoming the freshmen head coach at Kettering. After two years with the Captains, Coach Vitale moved to Waterford Mott High School in Michigan, as the wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator on the freshmen level. In 2006 Vitale was promoted to the varsity special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach. Under Vitale's direction the Corsairs adopted a military philosophy. With the assistance of the United States Army, using the codes of Honor, Discipline, and Respect, Coach Vitale redefined special teams into the Special Ops. Units, by using military training and holding annual boot camps the Corsairs have propelled themselves to the next level. 2006 the Corsairs made the playoffs for the first time since 1999. 2007 the Corsairs were Co-champions of the OAA Blue division, and clinched home field in the 1st round of the playoffs. In 2009 Coach Vitale created Thekickisup.com. Vitale's company focuses on training placekickers, punters, long snappers and holders on the specific details of their position. The company also raises money to help bring awareness to child abuse. College players: Teddy Drussel- Place kicker / Punter (Adrian College) Personal: Christian attended Sabino HS in Tucson AZ; graduated in 1990. He is a native of Buffalo N.Y. Christian and his wife Ann-Margaret have one son Stefan, and their daughter Mia. He and his family reside in Pontiac Michigan, where he gives motivational talks to teens in his community. In June 2010 Christian and his family moved back to Tucson, Az. where Christian is coaching at Pima Community College as a Special team's coordinator/ running backs coach and is conducting specialist camps through his company THEKICKISUP.
